Welcome to the Loyalty Smart Card InstallationLoyalty Smart Card is a PC desktop based
application. Note: This will install Japanese Language
Pre-requisites - If you require help with the install of the

Software
Pre-Requisites
A number of pre-requisites are
required before the Loyalty Smart Card Application is installed these are: 1)
XP
Service Pack 2 (Windows XP only) 2)
Windows
Installer 3.1 3)
Dot
Net Framework 3.5 4)
Smart
Card Driver To check you have the necessary
pre-requisites please click the link below: Click here to install and run the
Pre-Requisite Checker from the CD (or browse to the ‘PreRequisiteCheck’ folder on the CD and click on
the file ‘Setup.exe’) See
Pre-Requisite Checker for more information on
Installing and running the pre-requisite checker. Once
installed the Loyalty Smart Card System Check application will open System Check results
(all success) This will tell you
if you can connect to the Loyalty Card website and which of the prerequisites
you need to install on the machine.

install (64Bit) or see Smart Card Driver below. Install the Loyalty Smart
Card Application
Once ALL the pre-requisites are installed Click here
to install the Loyalty Smart Card Application or see Installing the Smart Card Application below. Note: If
you connect to the internet through a proxy server when you first start the
loyalty card application you may get a message saying ‘Can’t connect to loyaltycard.loyaltylogistix.com’.
If this happens you need to configure the proxy server settings in
application. See Proxy Server Settings below. Documentation

To
Run the Pre-Requisite Checker: 1. Click here to install and run the
pre-requisite checker (or
browse to the ‘PreRequisiteCheck’
folder on the CD click on the file ‘Setup.exe’ from your install CD. The File Download warning appears (or
Open). File

Click Run The Publisher could not be verified warning

Click Run The file will ‘download’ and
unpack from the CD and the Setup Welcome Message appears Setup Welcome
Message. 4. Click Next The
Ready to install message appears. Ready To Install
Message. 5. Click Install System Check results
(all success) 7. Click Close to Finish Once
installed the SystemCheck program can be run at any
time, for example to check internet access, using the following start menu
link: Firewall Access
Firewalls If
the connection to the internet is from behind a firewall access must be
available to http://loyaltycard.loyaltylogistix.com
on port 80. If the prerequisite
check application cannot connect to the website then whoever administers your
firewall needs to open it to that location. They may need the IP address of the
server rather than the domain name.
The IP address is 194.28.139.167. Pre-Requisites
The
pre-requisites for installing the Loyalty Smart Card application are: 1)
XP Service Pack 2 (Windows XP only) They
pre-requisites should be installed in the order given above,
they can be installed from the prerequisites folder on your Loyalty Smart
Card installation CD. Click here to open the prerequisites folder Note: If you try to install the Smart Card
Application without the pre-requisites installed a warning will appear and
you will have to download and install them before running the smart card
application install. To
check which service pack you are running on XP right click on my computer on
the desktop or start menu. The
system properties window appears.
If
your system is on Service Pack 1 then you need to install service pack 2. To Install XP Service Pack 2: Click here to run
the install (or browse to the ‘prerequisites’ folder on the
CD click on the file ‘6 Windows XP SP2 japanese.exe’) Install
the service pack accepting all the default options This
is a large service pack so will take some time to copy the
and install the files. It
is possible to check for Windows Installer 3.1 in add / remove programs. Alternatively just run the install
again. To Install Windows Installer 3.1: Click here to run the
install (or browse to the ‘prerequisites’ folder on the CD
and double click on the file ‘2 Windows
Installer 3.1.exe’) Accept all the default options if prompted
during the install. It
is possible to check for Dot Net Framework 3.5 in add / remove programs. Alternatively just run the install
again. To Install Dot Net Framework 3.5: Click here to run the
install (or browse to the ‘prerequisites’ folder on the CD
and double click on the file ‘dotnetfx35 japanase.exe’) Accept all the default options if prompted
during the install. If
the machine has not had the smart card reader on it before the driver files
will need to be installed on it.
If the card reader is plugged in unplug it before installing the
driver. To Install the Smartcard Reader Driver: If
you have a 32 Bit operating system
Click here to
run the 32 Bit Driver install (or browse to the
‘prerequisites’ folder on the CD and double click on the file
‘4 GemPCTwin PC_SC Installer.exe’) If
you have a 64 Bit operating system
Click here to run the
64 Bit Driver install (or browse to the ‘prerequisites’
folder on the CD and double click on the file ‘5
GemPcCCID_201_en-us_64.exe’) Plug
in a smart card reader You
should get a message saying Found New Hardware in the bottom left of the
screen.
Then
the message will change and say your new hardware is installed and ready to
use. Hardware Installed
Message The
installation of the Smart Card Reader is now complete. Installing the Smart Card Application
1) Open the Smart card application
Launch page in a browser by clicking the following link: http://www.loyaltylogistix.com/install/LoyaltyApp/publish.htm (or type
http://www.tinyurl.com/llsmartcard in your Internet Browser address bar) The Launch Page Will Open
2) Click Install The file download box appears 3) Click Run A security warning appears saying the
the publisher could not be verified 4) Click Run again The launching application message
will appear briefly
And another unknown publisher
security warning. 5) Click Install The install progress message will
appear briefly then the loyaltycard application
login prompt will appear. Loyalty Application login prompt. The
application is now installed. Proxy Server Settings
When the application is run for the first time
after installing the following message may be displayed. Unable to connect message Check the following URL through a web browser: If
page not available: If page appears: To set Proxy Server settings: 1)
Start the Loyalty Smart Card application. The Unable To Connect message will appear (see
above) 2)
Double click the login screen above the username and password field. A password capture dialog appears
3)
Enter the configuration password (contact support for this) 4)
Click Login. The Setup Button will become active on the
login box Loyalty Smartcard

Click the Setup button. The Loyalty Card Configuration Settings
appear. Loyalty
Card Configuration Settings 6)
Tick the Use Proxy Auto
Configuration radio button. 7)
Click Test Connection. If the connection is unsuccessful: A connection error
message will appear. Connection error message i) Tick the radio button Proxy Server by Name ii)
In the host name / IP address field type 194.28.139.167 iii)
Check the port number and change as necessary (the standard internet
port is 80) iv)
If a proxy username and password is used to access the Internet when
using Internet Explorer: a) Enter the username in the Proxy
Username box b) Enter the password in the password
box. c) If a domain login is used enter the
domain name v) Click Test Connection Again – if the connection is unsuccessful
call user support. If the connection is successful A message saying ‘A successful connection was made..’ will appear. Test
Connection Successful i) Click Save to save your settings The Loyalty App is now ready to use. The settings have been saved on your
machine and will be used next time it is run. |
